Hi, I’m Jessica

An insatiable curiosity, excitement for word-crafting, and drive to serve my community launched my early career in the nonprofit sector. It all began with an unexpected job as a public policy nonprofit intern and office administrator. From there, I learned data management as a researcher, legislative writing and advocacy as a senior policy analyst, and nonprofit communication as a volunteer communications director and writer. Now, I offer this unique collection of skills as contract researcher and writer and full time public sector program analyst.

I specialize in gathering publicly available data, synthesizing academic and independent research, and then distilling this complex information into credible, actionable content for clients on topics from human trafficking and child welfare to government transparency and state budgeting.

Within these roles, I collaboratively strategize content, draft research-backed publications, blog and ghost write on diverse fiscal and social topics, and provide content and copy edits on nonprofit communications. Simultaneously, I have provided academic, resume, and cover letter editing and fed my book obsession by providing creative writing brainstorming and content edits.

Whether policy reports, editorials, legislative testimony, newsletters, or blogs, I embrace the challenge of crafting clear, compelling analysis and messaging. Even better? When these evidence-based products both inform and inspire positive change.

As a life-long learner and book worm who found her niche, I’m excited to help equip organizations to activate their audiences and individuals to achieve personal success.
